about Lorie zirbes
Lorie began her career thirty years
ago as a retoucher at a fine portrait studio in Clinton, Iowa.
She moved on to Chicago in 1975 for more advanced on-the-job commercial
training at one of the nation's largest commercial photo labs, working
on prints and various photographic media
for many important clients, such as well known photographers and advertising
agencies.
She went to San Francisco, CA in 1984,
where she worked on portrait retouching by hand on negative film.
Since then, she's trained to further enhance her retouching skills with
the professional software Photoshop, and has come to love it.
Her excitement grew as she was able to digitally restore many old and treasured
family photos,
many of which you can see here. Recently, she relocated to Las Vegas, NV and has struck out on her own. Her clients include international photographers and individuals from around the United States.
